Thunar sorting
« on: February 13, 2013, 06:11:19 pm »
Thunar sorts the files that it is listing.  In VL6, it lists folders first then the files.  And it sorts the Uppercase names before the lowercase ones which I liked and would deliberately make some upper case so they would be near the top.

In VL7, however, it ignores case in it's sorting.  Is their any way I could get it to act like it does in VL6?

You could copy the thunar config to VL 7.

Right click on the white background in a directory. Select "Arrange Items"
Make sure arrange items by name is selected. Toggle between sorting ascending and descending.
That should get things back how you want them.

Thanks stretch.

I tried that but it didn't change any thing.  In /etc for example X11 appears about 2 columns in to the list.  In VL6 it appears as one of the first entries.
