i was wondering if i remove it will it also remove the UMplayer too? also, on a kinda related note, how to i modify the menus on the right click and task bar? running VL 7.0 64bit. thanks

removing packages via gslapt/slapt-get will remove some of it dependencies but then gslapt/slapt-get is not very good in dealing with dependencies (i guess same go for slackware Tongue)
still you can use

to manually remove any packages as you want...
