I usually get a new computer each year, just because I wear it out, and I use vector 7.0 because a) I know how to load the latest VL version on one partition without destroying my home data, b) it is completely solid and reliable, c) it runs fast, d) it doesn't change all the time and e) it and its applications are free and opensource.
