Tried that - didn't work ...sorry.

what didn't work?..you do not have to be root to do as roarde suggested above. do it first

you do have to be root to change the 9 to 0 in abiword.profile. and you will have to move the files and then click them in abi recent as I suggested to clear the list.

 if you have system files on the list temporarily rename them by adding an x , remove the listing,  then rename  removing the x

perhaps a pic will help

You may also try opening /.abisuite/abiword.profile in a text editor and change recent max="9" to "0" and save..you may also see current listings here so delete those aswell.

Code: [Select]
<Plugin
name="_AbiPaint_"
szImageEditor="gimp"
bLeaveImageAsPNG="1"
/>

<Recent
max="0"
/>

<Geometry
width="800"
height="600"

This didn't work.

This didn't work.

for me, the 0 returned to 9 until I did it as root.

I found the list remained after the xbel delete.

but it does not matter for you, OK

Glad your problem is solved. Thing is, it was solved 12 posts and 1 month 12days before I posted that. MarkGrieveson both gave a link to the info and stated it outright in the same post.

Reading a bit more carefully would save us all, especially yourself, a lot of time. Still, if you need further explanation of anything for any reason, please do ask.
