When VL 7.0 starts up, I run the following command in the Session and Startup application to disable my laptop touchpad:

Code:
xinput set-int-prop 13 "Device Enabled" 8 0

Which works well - however when my computer resumes from hibernation, the touchpad is enabled once again, until I either restart the computer or run the command manually.

Does anyone know of a way to either run the xinput command again when it resumes from being suspended or of another way to disable the touchpad permanently from the moment the computer starts up?

You could try this ..
Set up a desktop launcher, or hot-key combo and or panel launcher to replace the way you are currently going into suspend.

Then within whichever you choose or all if you want them use this command.

vsuper pm-suspend ; xinput set-int-prop 13 "Device Enabled" 8 0

That way when you exit out of suspend the very next command to be ran will be the one disabling your touchpad.

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Works perfectly and is even easier than navigating through to the log out panel!  Cool
