Somehow, the VL 7.1 development discussions are going on over in General Development, instead of here at Distro Development, oh well... Shocked

Anyway, after seeing the recent announcement of the 3.10 kernel going LTS, I really think we should try to use it for VL 7.1. That would mean 2 years of kernel fixes within the 3.10 line for kernel update packages (security and bug fixes).

I assume it is already 3.10.x, eh?

Ooops!!!  Grin

Unfortunately, I have been unable to download any of the 7.1 isos. I have been following the discussions, but must have missed the point where the kernel was updated. Still, it is then valid to propose that we stick to 3.10.x, not follow on to 3.11, which will be out soon.

Yeah, since 3.10.X is going to be the new long term, it would probably be a great idea to stick with this one.
