Just relating my experiences with my phone and Tablet.
My BlackBerry 9530 Storm loads up just fine in Vector Linux when the phone is set as a Mass Storage Device in preferences. My internal drive and external 16gig micro sd with tons of music and movies work just fine
transfering files from Vector to the phone.
My unlocking adventures with It I documented athttp://www.smartestcomputing.us.com/topic/62558-blackberry-9530/
My cheapo 4 inch Android Tablet that is exactly like thishttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcGqgXt6JgI
Also mounts just fine in Vector when the Iview is told to mount as a usb device. My understanding of later Android Operating systems after 4.0 is that more hoops need to be jumped through to get these later
tablet operating systems to mount. The MTP protocol is now used on the later tablet/phone operating systems
to mount instead of as a mass usb storage device like the older operating systems.
I plan on keeping these 2 units for a while as glorified MP3 players and Movie watchers and the tablet for wifi instead of using Mini Opera and phone time on the phone.
My H20 card sells me 200 minutes of time on the phone for 90 days for $10.00. My wife pays for that
since I hate phones and she wanted me to have a umbilical cord to her.
I learned a lot about tablet and phones and just got lucky with what fell into my lap.
Both units cost me less than $80.00 combined for the both of them and fufill a fuction.
Anyway. Thats my story.
