Is there a way that I can rewiew what I have copied to my clipboard and thus retrieve it?

Run "xclipboard".

It's rather antique. But it comes with our Xorg distribution, so you already have it.

There are probably nicer programs now. If you'll post back whether this is basically the right idea, I'm sure that'll help someone to point you to those nicer apps.

On the other hand, if xclipboard is fine with you and you'd like to have it on your menus, post that back here and we'll handle that.

For the command line, install 'xclip' from the repos.

@Locator:
Iirc, you're running STD with Xfce, right?  GSlapt. Put 'xfce.*clipman' in the Search box. Haven't tried clipman myself, but worth a look.
