How do I go about testing my computers memory with VL 7.0?

A more expanded answer is "you don't". Proper memory testing involves writing to a memory location, then reading it to see if the write was successful. Naturally, one can't do this with memory that is being used to run an operating system. So grab something bootable from the url retired1af gave and boot it.

And yes, memtest86+ relocates itself and retests the memory it was just in, so it's all checked.
