Perhaps a nice addition to your vinyl collection or what have you.

Speaking of the holidays xsnow from the repository can make your desktop more festive. here is what it looks like on my desktop

http://files.myopera.com/dsl-o/albums/550557/VLxsnow.png

After install simply open" run program " from the menu and type xsnow, to close type killall xsnow.

This can be done in a terminal but snow may be left on the terminal window so drag it to the top of the screen prior to enter, minimize the terminal, then to quit, close the terminal

In fluxbox you can add toggles for on and off on the menu, ie
[exec] (xsnow on) {xsnow}
[exec] (xsnow off) {killall xsnow}

or as above by clicking the run option from the menu

cheers

Alternatively if you could do without the santa but would like some snow flakes falling on the screen add xwinwrap from the repository and in the run program dialog or terminal type:

xwinwrap -ni -argb -fs -s -st -sp -nf -b -- /usr/libexec/xscreensaver/fuzzyflakes -speed 16 -layers 4 -color blue -window-id WID

To exit type killall fuzzyflakes or close the terminal window

In fluxbox terminal type:

/usr/libexec/xscreensaver/fuzzyflakes -root -speed 16 -layers 4 -color blue

Felices Fiestas!
