You can install it via gslapt/slapt-get from the untested repo and let me know how it go

32bit: http://vlcore.vectorlinux.com/pkg/untested/veclinux-7.0/x86/
64bit: http://vlcore.vectorlinux.com/pkg/untested/veclinux-7.0/x86_64/

THANKS
Get an error for libdirectfb 1.4, seems to work fine if you add directfb 1.4, I added it from here to solve for error and it works but not sure if any  issues caused by adding the lib...7.1 appears to include 1.6.1, not sure what relies on it.

http://www.filewatcher.com/m/directfb-1.4.3-i586-2vl60.txz.1163168-0.html

will play for awhile as see if anything pops up
cheers

edit: after a few games decided to increase size and system froze, had pointer but nothing else. forced to hold power button till off.

reboot open to default size but system froze and same, on third try rebooted and deleted items, open browser no pages load..reboot..seems back to normal

I seem to have become rather attached to my 7.1 install, perhaps I should return to 7.0 as I think you are referring.

do you mean pinball not working with directfb-1.6.1 in VL 7.1?

error libdirectfb.1.4.so

to be more exact:
someone:$ pinball
pinball: error while loading shared libraries: libdirectfb-1.4.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Installed on my 32-bit B1 machine (without xfce, using icewm). using gslapt. Runs, no errors. Somewhat unusual behavior in that it will not close using normal commands, you need to select Exit from the menu screen.

yes the exit is required here as well. Can you change to full screen or adjust the size? that is when I get the freeze up

Here is a great pinball game called Rollemup for linux
I had the windows version but did not know about the linux version, downloaded here

http://downloads.techweekeurope.co.uk/init/22252
http://downloads.techweekeurope.co.uk/22252/roll-m-up-1/

it requires libstdc++.so.2.8, I downloaded here and placed in /usr/lib
http://www.filewatcher.com/m/libstdc++.so.2.8.18-0.html

like Emilia it will only work at 640 for me but a nicer table and worth a look if you like pinball. the windows version usually works with wine.

I was hopeing to avoid wine thus Emilia

I can change size as well as go fullscreen. This is on an older laptop with Intel integrated graphics.

overthere,

I install pinball via gslapt at VL 7.1 B1 32 & 64bit and all work out of the box...no problem changing the resolution size too...work with direcfb-1.6 that come default with VL 7.1
You might want to check your system...

Ok..so at some point you must have added it to the 7.1 repository as when I updated gslapt, pinball was not there thus the request

when you suggested the 7.0 package I updated again thinking it was a typo  but no pinball so downloaded from your link thus the directfb1.4 error

now pinball is available in gslapt and appears to work so I must have missed something

will mark solved as it works for everyone
