Greetings from GNU Hampshire!
« on: March 13, 2014, 02:01:22 pm »

Glad to become part of this Community. I've read the boards recent posts and am pleased to see such a helpful group of folks. I'm a former (I know, don't slam me for this, please) user using both VL6 and VL7. I'm returning because I have familiarity with many years of Slackware (and Debian) under my belt, having been entranced by the simplicity of VL coupled with the complexity of the many hours of grad school data crunching, text formatting and publishing I used it for at that time. Now I am returning to school for another grad program and want the reliability and stability I had back then to continue on.......there's only a few options to choose from, for data safety as well as peace of mind, and for me the choice was a no-brainer: VL rocks!

See you all in the forums.
