Which ISO did you install?
I just tried midori on the 64-bit RC2 and it works flawlessly.

fresh install 32bit rc2
connected and added midori

you will likely see the GLib warnings regardless

libsoup 2.42.0 should already be installed.

Midori opens here without segmentation (perhaps as libsoup IS already installed)

however it is missing icons for "add new tab" and "close tab" or "speed dial"? both sides of the tab have a pop up for speed dial but clicking the red circle with the line through on the right closes the tab

I took a screenshot but can not log in to dropbox with midori

32-bit RC2 on my netbook.  I haven't done an install on a 64-bit machine yet.  Please try it on a 32 bit system.

I may have found the problem:  a dependency issue.  sqlite is installed but it's an older version than the current midori package needs:
Code:
root:# slapt-get --install midori
Reading Package Lists...Done
Excluding midori, use --ignore-dep to override
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  midori: Depends: sqlite >= 3.8.4.3-i586-1vl71
The following packages have been EXCLUDED:
  midori
0 upgraded, 0 reinstalled, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove, 1 not upgraded.

Done

I decided to upgrade my system to the latest packages.  The problem with unmet dependencies isn't limited to midori.  There's also one package conflict:
Code:
Reading Package Lists...Done
Excluding apr-util, use --ignore-dep to override
Excluding gambas2-runtime, use --ignore-dep to override
Excluding gtkpod, use --ignore-dep to override
Excluding midori, use --ignore-dep to override
Installed nspr conflicts with mozilla-nss
Excluding mozilla-nss, use --ignore-dep to override
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  apr-util: Depends: apr >= 1.4.8-i586-1vl71
  gambas2-runtime: Depends: openjpeg >= 1.5.0-i586-2vl71
  gtkpod: Depends: libgpod >= 0.8.3-i586-1vl71
  midori: Depends: sqlite >= 3.8.4.3-i586-1vl71
  mozilla-nss: Depends: sqlite >= 3.8.4.3-i586-1vl71
The following packages have been EXCLUDED:
  apr-util gambas2-runtime gtkpod midori mozilla-nss
Seriously not good...

That's why you're seeing the dep errors.
Add this to it
Code:
SOURCE=http://vlcore.vectorlinux.com/pkg/untested/veclinux-7.1/x86
after slapt-get -u your deps should be available

I take it untested won't be available by default or needed in the final release.  I'm actually surprised it's still needed in a second release candidate.

The good news:  the dependency problem is fixed.
The bad news:  the new Midori package crashed just about immediately.  No improvement at all  Sad

I tried the new kernel in untested and it hosed my machine - no mouse, no keyboard.  I'm going to reload and start over from a fresh RC2 build later this evening and I'll post my results with Midori.
