Is there a way to "tweek" IVTV, and if so, what is it?

When asking either here or in the (recommended) IVTV forum, mentioning just what you want to tweak in IVTV will be helpful.
Speed? Better display? Where are the options?
What?

Terms:
ivtv ask for help
ivtv help
ivtv display

The first one goes right there, the next two get you there after a couple of click-throughs.
