Wireless worked yesterday not today
« on: May 27, 2014, 04:14:08 am »

Have tried to follow the wireless guide, but get nowhere after VASM.  I do not need to use ndsi wrapper as wireless was working fine after I installed VL. Card appears to be detected but switched off.
lspci reveals the card to be Broadcom BCM4318 which I checked is supported.
Used VASM
wlan0  IEE 802.11b/g  ESSID: off/any
          Mode:MANAGED    Access Point: Not-Associated  Tx-Power:off
          Retry long limit:/  RIS thr:off  Fragment thr:off
          Encryption key:off
          Power management:off
cat /etc/modprobe.conf  gives "No such file or directory" so I can't proceed.

Sorry I am a newbie and not too sure of what I am missing.
Thanks in advance

Have you double checked to make sure the wireless card is turned on?

Under Window it will turn on, but if I boot to VL it will not turn on.
