A new custom panel for Vector 7.1
This right side panel includes all you need to get started with Vector linux.

You can right click any application on the wisker menu at the top and add it to the panel. You can add a dozen of your favorite apps and still have room to open them all and minimize them. minimized apps are slightly grayed to avoid confusion with launchers. You can also right click and move the apps if you like.

Or you can organize your apps into sub menus of existing app launchers or create new ones.

you can right click the panel for panel preferances and make the panel a single row or muliple rows to add more stuff.

Or add a new panel and include a standard menu and clock then right click your favorite applications on the menu and add them to the desktop for a classic look. items on the panel can be right clicked and moved even between panels, volume and notifications for example could be moved to your new panel.

This panel as a default stays out of the way of your customizing your desktop while provideing access to new packages, settings, files and frequently used apps with a single click, reducing wear on your mouse buttons.

It also includes a button at the top to change the date and time, an optional timer plugin to wake you after a heavy night of customization and log out or shut down buttons, along with standard features like volume, notification and windows switchers. You can even auto hide the panel providing a blank slate for what ever you would like to do.

I like the single row panel. Thank you for the insight!

I agree a single row with a few less items looks better, the xfce limitations start to show with the vertical panels, text and digital clock are lost unless you go with the wider panel

There seemed to be something missing when using the single row side panel so I added conky..the side panel is on auto hide and allows quick access to wifi toggle, files and trash in addition to all the basics while allowing windows to take the full screen width

Open apps show at the bottom next to the menu for classic comforts.. a work in progress..
