JWM and numlockx

First of all, I apologize for posting this in the wrong sub-forum.
Please bring these 2 to VL64-light.

No need for apology, but you have now found the "right" place :)

numlockx has been built for 7.1 and is in the untested repo. It will probably be moved to the regular repos soon, but if you want to try it now add this line to the file /etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc:
SOURCE=http://vlcore.vectorlinux.com/pkg/untested/veclinux-7.1/x86_64/
For 32-bit, that would be
SOURCE=http://vlcore.vectorlinux.com/pkg/untested/veclinux-7.1/x86/

Either way, do "Update" in Gslapt (or slapt-get --update) before trying to install. As always when checking out test packages, install the package, then disable the untested repo, either by disabling it in Gslapt's sources or commenting the line (#) in slapt-getrc.

JWM is in the capable hands of our Packager and will surely follow just a bit later.

P.S.  Using Light on a 64-bit machine interests me. This is the first time Light has been released for 64-bit machines. There was some discussion of whether this was a useful thing to do, but the new build system made doing it just as easy as (easier than, really) having only 32-bit. Looking forward to seeing how long it is useful for you.
