The installer on the 64-bit version wouldn't run on my system.  I get adding X-files followed by a number multiple times and then it drops me to a command prompt.  The system is then locked up hard.  I wonder if this is because of my legacy  nVidia GeForce 6150 SE chipset.  That's a problem on a lot of new distro releases.  On Debian 8.1 it works, but only with a legacy version of the proprietary nVidia driver.  In their case I can drop to the text based install and then install the needed driver.  That isn't an option with VL 7.2, is it?

Edit:  I created a Bitbucket account and also reported it there.

Hi Caitlyn, my testing revealed some problems in A0.3.3 which were not present in the previous iso, and others have commented on that too. You may have better luck with A0.3.2.

Thanks.  I may try downloading that or else hope a03.4 shows up :D  FWIW, VL 7.1 works beautifully on the same machine, including the installation process.

Thanks for the heads up, Wigums.  I'll download 3.2 and see if it works.

A suggestion, a minor bug and a question:

Neither vi nor vim is part of a base install?  Really?  vi is the universal editor.  My not so humble suggestion is that it should be included.

Without vi you need to set visudo to use another editor.  Right now visudo hangs.  This is the minor bug.

The question:  do you want us testing the base install or do you want us to do a slapt-get --upgrade?

Yes!

Looks: same as 7.1, other desktop wallpaper. Compact and responsive in Virtual Box,1024MB mem,1cpu. 163MB mem in use after login, nice!

Most things seem to work.
Database Browser doen't start.

I just installed ALPHA 3.6, first boot was OK, but after update keyboard and mouse was disabled and I couldn't login...

EDIT
32bit, HP rp5000, P4 2,6 GHz, 1024 Mb RAM, 250 Gb HDD, onboard Intel graphics, # and checksum OK
!!graphical installer goes 'out of range' on 16:9 full HD VGA monitor!!
!!'install' leads to 'kernel-image not found'!!
!!console on 1, 2 and 4 keeps staying blank!!
!!manual install via 'noapic nogui' works fine!!

OK...
'install' is named 'linux' for text-mode/manual install
vasm is cut down
vxconf gives me a way to use the graphics, but the resolution stays at 1024 x 786 :-(
I try to use my correct charset (de/850) on login, y/z are changed vice versa, afterwards it works
update disables ANY input device!

Tell me what to do to give you the necessary information.

EDIT
missed one question:
Is it possible to add a preset for the clock-quickhelp?
