Their response to the whole thing has been an absolute travesty. Especially in regards to the security claims with the distro itself. Rather than addressing the accusations, he brushes it all off because it's not the proper venue for discussion.

Mint was my daily driver for over 2 years. This issue was important enough to me to go searching for a new one (I settled on Fedora). Mint will have its rabid fans who'll never switch for any reason, but I suspect there were a lot of folks like me who took one look at how they were handling the whole thing and fled.
