Hi sledge: this is not personal or political or not being able to express views that go contrary to somebody else's.

It's about invasion of privacy.

Thanks Macondo.

I have watched about half of the frontline story and can see why you are not happy with Google.  The implication is that firefox does not forward info to the government, but Google does.  I hope I have that right.

Anyway, I will switch over to firefox, at least for a while.  If I don't like it I will try Konqueror or opera.

I regularly use FF, Seamonkey, Chromium and Google-Chrome. Each one is configured differently, from paranoid to promiscuous, and which one I use depends on where I go on the 'net. Doing product research in one and on-line ordering in another confuses tracking software, reducing spam. If I absolutely have to watch that hilarious cat video, I'll use google-chrome.

Konqueror does not seem to have kept up with the times, but it is okay for very basic sites. If you're okay with closed source Opera, its offspring Vivaldi is worth a look. I'm using it right now and it's fun to see some new energy in the browser field.  ;D
