I wanted Enlightenment again and since I had no idea in what order I have to compile all the packages for e17 I decided to take a look at e16 this is the default out-of-the-box look well except GKrellm so the thing that I noticed first where the 2 pagers and that bar on top, as you see I have Pidgin on the first pager and then go to the second and open Firefox and a quick pull on the top bar and... SPLIT SCREEN ok I want to play some more with it so here is one last screenshot and some cool animated effects I know all those effects are nothing compared to Compiz Fusion but my poor old CPU and Videocard can't handle Compiz Fusion so all those effects running so smoothly is amazing for me.

tm, It looks like you're having too much fun playing with choice . It would be interesting to see how e17 reacts on your "poor old cpu and videocard." I think that their intensions were to add lots to enlightenment (eye-candy too!) while still trying to keep the low resource cost aspect. I've used the slack v11.0 e17 package from linuxpackages on VL58standard with success ( http://www.linuxpackages.net/pkg_details.php?id=10599 ). Cheers!

two years ago I found compiled packages and an automated script in this forum and I spend the whole winter with E17 and the Snow eplet and it was great but the next winter the packes where a new version and the snow widget had permanent trees and santa and everything else was a bit worse so E17 with Snow constantly was as fast as IceWM thanks for the package, I'll try it when I get back from school

This is my desktop running the latest XFCE with composite enabled. However I would say that after I installed XFCE 4.4 the desktop seems a 'little' more sluggish even with the compositor window manager tweaks off....

orasis that is pretty nice! Who'da thunk a deck could look so nice on a desktop? I dunno about seeing the deck through my work in Gimp though.

My desktop in Fluxbox. I reckon the wallpaper and style blends well together. Direct link to the picture: http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/5314/desktopjx2.jpg

Thanks a lot for your kind words, rbistolfi! I decied to use that as a wallpaper since it's brutal and still fits very well with the Fluxbox style (color theme) i use now. And of course because I like Scarface and Al Pacino as an actor.

The style and the wallpaper fits perfect. The wallpaper is indeed, brutal. My favorite Pacino movie is Carlito´s way though. I think is knowed as American way too, but Scarface is a classic. I loved that fluxbox style, very nice.

Time for some new screenies, I've been pimping up Fluxbox yet again.
I like the Fluxbox theme and transparency used - what theme is it and how much transparency are you using?

Time for some new screenies, I've been pimping up Fluxbox yet again.
I like the Fluxbox theme and transparency used - what theme is it and how much transparency are you using? Which one do you mean, Lagagnon? I try to use the same theme, now I use a theme called Clouds which can be found at http://tenr.de under Fluxbox Styles. The transparency is that by default. Hope this helps, Lagagnon. The Fluxbox styles over at tenr.de are the best ones out there, I'm sure you will all find what you are searching from there those of you who use Fluxbox. Exterdad, thanks for your feedback. I'm currently using a sort of similar landscape wallpaper but I will go back to the one you are talking about. It fits so perfectly for my taste. I've always liked landscape pictures and hmm... how should I put this... Naked chicks! A little addition... The thing I almost every day do is searching for new wallpapers and Fluxbox styles, I'm obsessed with this. Okay, I'm in a good mood today. I will copy the links here for the wallpapers I found today so that everyone can use them if they like. Almost every picture is 1600x1200, hope this doesn't matter. You will find that Screenshot 2 picture here as well, that is the Summerstorm one, 1600x1200. So, here goes: http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/downloads/00290_norwegiansunset_1600x1200.jpghttp://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/downloads/00465_twilightpalms_1600x1200.jpghttp://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/downloads/00633_oceanhope_1600x1200.jpghttp://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/downloads/00692_apeacefulharbor_1680x1050.jpghttp://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/downloads/00714_cloudyday_1600x1200.jpghttp://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/downloads/00816_deuxpecheurs_1600x1200.jpghttp://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/downloads/00911_werenotinkansasanymore_1600x1200.jpghttp://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/downloads/01056_glendaloughcowicklowireland_1680x1050.jpghttp://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/downloads/01098_sydneyoperahouse_1600x1200.jpghttp://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/downloads/01192_oceanbeforethestorm_1600x1200.jpghttp://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/downloads/01309_summerstorm_1600x1200.jpghttp://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/downloads/01315_abandonedmansion_1600x1200.jpghttp://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/downloads/01354_sunriseafterthestorm_1600x1200.jpgHope you'll like them. I've put quite some effort in finding these nice ones

Hey DrGrov, you are good! Thanks for those wallpapers, I liked "We are not in Kansas anymore" a lot. Thanks rbistolfi! I want to keep my system übernice and beautiful. The only problem now seems to be that when I'm supposed do "work" I can't seem to get it done for some strange reason.
