The Headacher - are you clipping on channels 1 and 3?
I like to think of it as compressing Grin. To be honest though, I didn't pay a lot of attention to clipping, since I'm mostly interested in dirty sounds it doesn't really matter if it clips a little. I wasn't going to record anyways, I just wanted it to sound "right".

I just wonder what is all the fuzz about wallpaper. Most of the time most is covered by some windows be it a terminal or some application. Case in point I just have a most beautiful girl in a beautiful pose as a wallpaper. Can I enjoy it? No!! She is always covered by some window. So unless I do nothing with my distro, just enjoy he beauty of my wallpaper I might as well shut down the machine and hang the picture on the wall and look at it.
My own backgrounds, say wallpaper, are in strong plain colors changing by the hour as set with rclock.

LOL. I should get my wallpaper framed. (small version here, contains a certain rude hand gesture)

The book or the movie (or perhaps even both?). I'm a big fan of William Gibson's work. I recently bought some more books of his at a sale at the local library Smiley. I forgot where I put them though, so reading them is rather difficult atm Undecided.
I like gibson too. Neuromantic being one of my favorite books.

The cyberpunk idea has changed a lot from the time i started it. At first i wanted to make a twisted version of "the wizard of oz" with the bermuda triangle/plane crash,etc... after a while i thought of another story about a boy that lives at an abandoned planet and gets to know that he is not alive anymore, and the motherbrain computer has turned him into AI software that exists inside a special server, called "EDEN".He has turned into a somewhat interacting with the outside world hollogram.. The boy then wants to get his memories from the past (the time when he was alive) ,which are stored on that machine, but another AI prevents him from accesing them... and so on
Its a short story, which stretched too much  Roll Eyes

it will turn into a great comic if i start drawing it. Unfortunatelly i can't get enough time for that and i doubt it will get me much success. Curently Ora- desert sun is still the focus of my spare time.

drawing in artrage2.5 (running on wine 0.9.50) Everything works.Tablet pressure sensitivity works as well. This app kicks so much ass, I've never used so well organised gui/features application. The guys who made it are pretty smart and the emulation of real materials is good too...
Corel painter, and the others who do that thing have stoneage interface, compared to this.

blury, IYHO, what would be a good tablet that provides good functionality for a good price?  I ask because my wife has been devoloping her photo editing skills for a couple years and I DO believe that the addition of a tablet to her arsenal would benerfit her greatly - it's just that I haven't a clue in that department.  Any help you can offer is great!

....um... I guess by "tablet" I assumed you meant something like this: http://tinyurl.com/38e2vj

or did you mean an actual Tablet PC?

well, people say wacom's are the best. I personally have tried a genius (cheaper brand) and now i have a wacom (worked hard the summer to buy it).
Dont look to buy bigger.Size doesnt matter.Big tablets are uncomfortable to use.Genius is not a bad brand, but it has its cons:
*the pen works on normal batteries, which you have to change, while wacom's pen's batteries are recharged by the surface as you draw (no need to change...ever)
*genius might have more pressure sensitivity, but it actually wears you off,as you have to press the pen harder...this wears off the wrist quickly and makes it uncomfortable to use...when as with wacom you dont have to press it.It runs smoothly..

I have a wacom graphire 4 classic XL (6x8,a5)

I think it was well worth it
If you want to buy something cheaper, and if it is going to be for photo manipulation (not actual drawing), I'd suggest you try the volito series.I hear good things about them.

Thanks for the info, blury.  I've looked into the couple wacom models you've recommended and although the graphire seems like the better model, the volito sounds like a good place/price to start.  The only problem now is how does a person in the USA manage to get one of these things Cheesy.  Seems the volito(2) is not being marketed/sold in the USA (from what I can tell) so I'll have to look down some other avenues; I guess the power source could be a concern as well.  Thanks for the good start... I got some investigating to do.

Cheers!

well, graphires are better than volitos,i think...easier to find too.I saw a graphire almost like mine for 80$ in ebay...but it was for the us only.. I bought mine for 300$  Sad (you can imagine how hard it is to find in my country, i had to wait for them to ship it to mee,and that wasnt cheap too)
volitos are a newer model though
