That looks pretty interesting, Joe1962. Nice to see further active Latin American contribution to software libre. From what little I can read of the Portuguese text, it looks like a Qt fork of XPDE. But where else are they planning to go with it?

Does look interesting indeed!
Looks like Xfce has got a a direct competitor, a Nemesis if you will  Wink

I dunno...they appear to have different niches. Remember, xfce4 has file manager, editor, panel applets, etc.

That's what I have been trying to figure out. I can't find the source code of the latest version anywhere. I will try and contact the devs soon. Would be a real pity if this project isn't continued.

This one has a file manager, which you can see in the screenshot. It also seems to have panel plugins, though I haven't tried any yet.

Here's a screenie of my cleaned up desktop. The wallpaper still needs some more gimping (just noticed some things I want to change), but you get the idea.

The yin / yang is to remind me I should balance things, I have a tendency to go to the extremes (e.g. do nothing or do everything at once) The skull is there to remind of my own mortality, to encourage me to get the most out of every day. The flames are there to look cool Grin.

The stereotype that Europeans have good aesthetic taste appears to have a kernel of truth...

Nice work! You could add a skull reflex to your eye.

Yeah, I found them with altavista or google image search. I gimped them a little, not much though.

That's a good idea, but I think the skulls details would get lost too much. Also, I'm just not sure where I put the original of that file Cheesy.
