My (significantly more humble) desktop: http://turkey.fvdh.net/~hanumizzle/images/vnavigator-gtk2.pngIt shows VASM development underway...the navigator menu component is complete. My background image, made with my horrible graphical editing skills, is a picture of the scene of the abduction of Sita in a Vietnamese dramatic rendition of the Ramayan. The Juggernaut (Jagan Natha?) is quoted at the bottom appropriately. (This is the page where I found the picture: http://www.ias.berkeley.edu/orias/SEARama/RamaOverview.htm) My dockapps from top to bottom are: WPrefs, GNU Emacs (v22, CVS), terminal (a script I wrote as frontend for various terminal programs), Seamonkey, LyX, Audacious (which I never use), wmCalClock, and wmBlueCPU. In the back you see my muzak collection. As you can see, my muzak collection is very diverse...

I just about finished re-installing SOHO, the old one was to b0rked, so here's a rather neat&clean screenie: As you can see, there are quite a lot of icons for audio programs on it. I just finished building them. The icons for StartJack,StopJack, Skale Tracker and Audacity have been Gimped to make nice icons. The KDE is 3.5.1 from the testing repo, I needed a newer one because Rosegarden wouldn't get built with the default KDE (3.4.2). The car is a an Eliica. It's a Japanese Electrical car with a 60 kW electric engine INSIDE each wheel (that makes 480 kW total, since it has eight wheels) It might not be very pretty, but I like to think it's the sportscar of the future.

Well, time to resurrect this zombie thread (I like to look at other peoples screenies too). Here's my current desktop: The wallpaper is a render of a "tesla roadster", an electric sportscar. I hope to own an electric car one day, when they're slightly more common and affordable.

speaking of compositing...
I've been a diehard WindowMaker fan for ages (glad to see easuter on board as well), but I'm gonna try the latest Xfce 4.4 beta. I had a slightly earlier version and saw what the built-in compositing manager looked like, among other things like Thunar. (I'm too lazy to download and play with xcompmgr) To be honest, I was pretty impressed with what they did with it. I've been using Xfce on and off since the v3 days and it's interesting to see how far they've gone in terms of both form and function.
Since I signed up on linux.be and will eventually start posting once I am literate in Dutch, I need to have an 31337 desktop befitting of the user screenshots section, lol
