Have naturally been using the new Vector linux 7.2 beta version, so far no obvious issues.
customizing xfce was this session, no issues. Here are some screenshots:
I added a vertical task tray panel which includes a terminal, timer, a quick access button for the forum/with a sub menu for frequently used settings, and the window switcher. I installed hard info. panel launchers can easily be modified with the usual right click select. This panel is on auto hidehttps://www.dropbox.com/s/2gm8rn2rr1vgkgh/deskshot72bx.png?dl=0
Open applications icons appear in the lower menu panel which blend in nicely with the main menu and current date. with no open apps the panel auto centershttps://www.dropbox.com/s/135cncgax5xzdo6/deskshot72by.png?dl=0
the upper panel included the current time and weather along with right to left a launcher for browser, notepad, downloads folder and a final launcher that opens a media samples folder, you could add any app or a sub menu to launch what you like.
Both upper and lower panel auto hide when windows are open full screen providing access over the open window while otherwise remaining on the desktop for quick access.https://www.dropbox.com/s/xgpzgjk00qyqarg/deskshot72bz.png?dl=0
Removable drives are set to open the file manager and show files and folders when plugged in (via the removable drives dialog in settings). naturally desktop icons like trash and home can be toggled on via desktop right click menu.
This custom xfce is using included icons and application with the exception of installed applications, ie hardinfo. The wallpaper was posted in wallpapers previously as was the darker theme.
all the applications I chose from the menu appear to function as expected.
a very nice experience so far, Thanks so much
