Hello There Vectorites
« on: January 26, 2021, 04:24:55 pm »
I understand Vector is 'dormant', or so DistroWatch says.
Don't know about that.  VL Light has been my go-to distro on my Intel DG965OT with I Core 2 DUO E7400 ever since I FOUND the thing
outside my hi-rise way back in summer 2013.  What's funnier is that,
after scrubbing the 775G HD, and barely knowing Vector or Slackware
for that matter, I just installed it on a hunch to occupy a spare partition.
I was already familiar with IceWM from ConnachaetOS, and very much
used to the command line from my time messing with DSL v3.3, coaxing it to do the supposedly impossible.
In any case, this HD has 4 bare metal OS's, :  MX Linux, Vector Light, GoBang, and Lubuntu.   VL is the 32-bit version, and I still enjoy the
customizations it allows and/or compels me to make.   The only difficulties I've run into have been in finding a build of Firefox which will not freeze on YT.  (Chromium gives me no such issue).    I will shortly be testing out Pale Moon to see if I can get it to run properly, and will let you know how that goes.  Cheers!

Vector is not really being developed at this point. There is
nothing active at this time.

Perhaps at some point someone would want to pick up
