Hi,
When I run "kdesktop_lock --forcelock" from the command line it says "bash: kdesktop_lock: command not found".
Also, I wasn't sure, are you asking that we make a file /usr/bin/xlock and put the following in it?
kdesktop_lock --forcelock

hi,in order to use that command you need to have kde installed on your box.I am sorry i mentioned it only in the thread's name.
Also, you can do it without creating that file.Just type the following in terminal
kdesktop_lock --forcelock
the file is only a launcher of the locker
you can lock your xfce, using kde's lock...that way you can also easily switch users .
Alternatively you can switch users with
ctrl+alt+f7,8,9 or whateva
