I've just installed VectorLinux on an old computer with no network card. Now I wanted to know if there may be an efficient way of installing packages and resolving indipendencies without having to download every single package from a computer with internet and then hoping the package does not need any further packages. Is it, perhaps, possible to use a burned Slackware-DVD as a source in slapt? I'm pretty new to linux (sorry) ^^
I think it might be possible. Add the line SOURCE=file:///mnt/dvd/packages/
(or something similar) to /etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc.
