seems we neglected to think of a name for SoHo v5.8. Last name for VL v5.8 was "Gold". Any suggestions? Other than
"09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0"

I nominate VL SOHO 'Speedy'; other releases shall be named in a like wise...
Or we could do the XEmacs thing and use oxymorons: 'Common Lisp', 'Jumbo Shrimp', 'Military Intelligence', etc.

I think we should pick one from a "family or class" we could maintain in the future fot other releases. Is important to keep some consistence. For example, since "Gold" was the name of 5.8 std, we could pick other metal or a rock for soho, may be lagagnon could help us  I like "Mercury" |

Hey, there's no deep meaning in Gold. That's what you call final releases of software.
Personally, I detest those cutesy names that Ubuntu uses. Just give me the version number so I know where it is in the string of releases.
