Have you tried using the CUPS Web-interface to configure the printer?
Open you browser and enter this into the address bar:

Code: [Select]
http://localhost:631/

I would suggest installing "hplip". It is avalable using gslapt. This will also give you some utilities for monitoring ink levels, aligning cartridges and more.

After installing, you will probably need to run "hp-makeuri" to get the proper address for your printer. If the program doesn't show up in start menu, run "hp-toolbox". More info here: http://hplip.sourceforge.net/

Helo!
Once again, I have the OS afresh installed. On previous installation works the automatocally recognizing of my printer. In a moment that recognizing doesn't work, but the printer is same. Explain me, please, how can I my USB-printer manually to install? What have I to set into positions „Device“ and „Device URL“?
Thank you!
