Your're not the only one, several reviewers said they couldn't get online, and I'm in the same boat.
Basically dhcpcd doesn't start,wpa_supplicant doesn't start. Check your iptables rules out as I found the Vector firewall was launching at boot and blocking port 80 (http) 81(https) etc......you need those ports open as well as 110 for pop mail etc etc. You could try with wep encryption that will work but,and its a big but,wep can be cracked in 5 minutes with aircrack available with every Linux distro,(and there are loads of free windows tools)and then you are liable for all the pirated music, video and child porn someone else has downloaded using your home network.....no thanks!  Undecided

majinzero:

First of all, what version of VectorLinux are you using?....
What type of connection are you trying to setup (dhcp or static)? What type of encryption (if any) do you have?
What card and wireless chip are you using? What is the output of the iwconfig and ifconfig commands when run as root?
Have you read the wireless HowTo?

Please be more detailed and specific when asking for help.
