I am trying to install a driver called gspca1xx but it doesnt work  Sad

what do I do wrong?

It looks like you didn't install the kernel source code package during the VL installation.
All you have to do is put the VL 5.8 Gold cd into your drive, mount it and then install the "kernel-src.tlz" package that is in /mnt/cdrom/veclinux/optional

Then try building that driver again.
