Hi Guys Grin,
I have a PC with Ubuntu 6.06, Puppy Linux and of course Vector 5.8 Gold. Recently after a long period of time I managed to get my Ubuntu to connect to the internet through a CDMA phone. The following link has all the information I needed to make it work.

Ubuntu is fine, but its very slow on my piii, so I need to configure vector to connect to the internet. I wonder is there any way of connecting the same phone to be used with vector. I tried the 1st and 2nd steps they went well, but when I type "wvdial pctl" it says there is no such command. Can anyone help me with this? Huh

Thank you

If you could get it to work on Ubuntu, I don't see why it wouldn't fly on Vector.

wvdial is in the extras repo, BTW.

[Also, though I'm sorry there's not really a tactful way to say this, please avoid all capital letters text in the title.]

 Cheesy

Easy one:

1) Call Menuentry "System"

2) Call Menuentry "GSlapt Package Manager"

3) Enter Root-PW

4) Go for "wvdial"

The rest should be easy  Grin
