Hanumizzle has packaged TeX Live
This distribution of TeX Live was built for close compatibility with the facilities of (the now unmaintained) teTeX, which is still distributed with Slackware, IIRC.
Complementary doc package is forthcoming.
It is in the testing repository, so make sure you enable it in GSlapt before attempting to install the package.
