ntfsfix tools missing on SOHO 5.8 RC3
« on: May 26, 2007, 02:24:10 am »

The ntfs-3g tools are included! Great!
Only on windows you frequently cannot safely remove the harddisk unless you shut down the pc.
I noticed that the ntfsfix tool is needed to be able to mount a harddisk that has not been safely removed under windows.
Would be great if this was included in the next vector soho releases....

Yikes! You just reminded me, as this was one of the things on my packaging list a few months back when my notebook died a sudden death. I ran into the dirty drive mount issue back then and research showed I could either use the force mount switch of NTFS-3G, or get ntfsfix.
