does anyone know how to install a customized splash screen for grub. I already have the images and the configuration files and i have bootsplash already installed.

when i use the splash=quiet (the equivalent of fedora's rhgb=quiet i think) the boot messages come like a splash of white paint...since i recompiled kernel with additional options to monitor battery levels of notebook etc.

how do i solve it?
