hello,

I use Vector Linux 5.8 Soho RC3 and I put ethernet card with RTL 8139D chipset and vasm reported that it is unknown device from unknown manufacturer.
I hoped that such an Ethernet card should be recognized since it si well known and even old chipset.
lspci is recognizing it normally
netconfig see it as 3c59x card
vasm does not see it at all
KDE network detection does not sees it
after setting up as 3c59x it is possible to ping 127.0.0.1 but not any other computer in the network

please advise,

vv
