Ive downloaded and unpacked...Im pretty sure.... Ive navigated to this:

vector://home/wilzer1/Desktop/install_flash_player_9_linux

in the console and am following these instructions:

o In terminal, navigate to the unpacked directory and enter:
          + $ ./flashplayer-installer
+ Click Enter key and follow prompts

I type and get the response:

root:# ./flashplayer-installer
bash: ./flashplayer-installer: No such file or directory

what am I doing wrong?

Did you unpack the tarball file? The other possibility is that the file you need to run is not set executable. Type "sh flashplayer-installer" (without the quotes) at the prompt and see if that works for you.
