This is a problem I solved before but unfortunately I forgot the answer.  I am running 5.8 SOHO and after upgrading or changing configuration somehow my network device is not booted.  I have two cards one internal and one PCI.  I am using the PCI card.  The problem if I remember correctly is Linux's problem in naming device.  I can start network from VASM but reconfiguring doesn't hold on reboot.

If someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.  Thanks
