That photo of Steve must have been taken in happier days, as he's now quite gaunt. Much as I'm not a fan of his, I wish him the best and hope he gets healthier.

EFG: I agree about Linus, he's not disgusting ... for me it's the whole speedo thing. It could be a European deal. It is; also true of 'Europeanized' countries such as Brazil. As far as Steve goes, I think it might be fun to hang out with him, though I wouldn't want to play dodge-chair.

What's the problem, man? They're just Microsoft coders on a debugging run ... @Tom: glad to see you're keeping your spirits up with humor. My vote: Linux - despite Torvald's questionable attire - and lack of geeky neurotic slimness - anyone willing to do that kind of public performance has got to be a nut job or a genius who doesn't care what people think. (Maybe he's both.) And why can't I help imagine that the pool below him is ice-cold water filled with penguins? |
