ok,problems..

I put my cd in the dvdrw, i set the cd device node of cdfly to /dev/cdwriter
afterwards,it can pick the CD name, but when it indexes it,instead of indexing It,it scans my home folder and indexes my home, not /mnt/cdwriter  Sad

am i doing it wrong?

Thanks for reporting this blurymind. I'll try rebuilding the package first, since I didn't have sqlite installed when I built it, maybe thats part of the problem.

You might also need to rebuild Qt4 with sql plugins enabled. If you just use the default configure flags for building Qt4, then no sql plugins get built. This means that any programs that rely on implementations of sql like sqlite, mysql, postgresql, etc., will not work, since they can't be hooked into Qt4. This would also mean that you would need to have sqlite 2 and sqlite 3, at a minimum, on your box. If you also plan to build the mysql and postgresql plugins, then those db's also need to be on your box.

Cheers,
John

cdfly can rad and search the existing dvd/cd database file from the windows version... But it cannot scan cd or dvd on my cdwriter. It scans my home directory altho i tell it to scan /dev/cdwriter
Thanks for rebuilding it.This is a really good app for dvd collections.

Yeah, I've also got a Qt4 build with a MySQL driver enabled, so after recompiling CDFly everything *should* work.
Sorry for the delay in getting to this, but I'm working full-time now during my summer holidays and have limited time for anything else.
