I installed the soho version in dual boot with xp on my thinkpad 240.  I am a very new linux user.  It installed fine, however the built-in trackpoint mouse does not work right (making the system unusable).

The trackpoint mouse moves a little bit, then freezes, then continues further away.  I can't zero in on an icons because of the freezing and continuing.  Can anyone help?

Is the problem (1) that I need to change some settings for the trackpoint, or (2) that my computer is not powerful enough for the soho version and is freezing up because of a lack of processing/memory power?  I have 192 megs of memory, celeron 300.

Thank you for your help.

You are really underpowered for the current SOHO. Try the standard edition
I believe you will be happy with it.
