Login failed?!...

Hello my name is Iván ;D, I'm new to linux and I'm interested in using Vector Linux. I downloaded and installed it without problems ;), the problem is that I'm asked to write my username and password when Vector loads, but I've never configured such thing ???! I hope you can help me, I'm really looking forward to using this promising distro!

PD: I'm not native english speaker, sorry for the mistakes :P

VectorLinux-5.8-standard-GOLD:
VectorLinux-5.8-GOLD.iso

at the end of the VL installation you need to change the root default password.......

there is few way of resetting the password...but it is a bit of technical for newbie like me..... :P

so, it is better for you to reinstall VL again and this time remember to change the root default password....

Haha as I imagined :P, I'm going to reinstall Vector... I suggest that there should be some kind of sloution to this in the login screen for those people that skip the password configuration step!

I think the password is empty if you don't set one. Can't hurt to give it a try.

Indeed, finally I arrived to the conclusion that if you write "root" in the user box and leave empty the otherone you can login!

That is very dangerous. Anyone can then login to your box as root and do whatever they like. You really should set a root password:  System, VASM, SUPER, USER, PASSROOT.
