[SOLVED]Quanta plus missing dependency?
« on: June 21, 2007, 05:28:26 pm »
When I start QUanta HTML editor from the terminal I got the following error message:"

quanta: error while loading shared libraries: libcvsservice.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Which package should be installed in addition?

thanx,

veki

You probably will need to install cvs from the VL 5.8 repository.

Hello,
Cvs is already installed there :/ and it shows that error message despite that fact.

Hmm, maybe there is problem with version of cvs?

The missing dependency is the kdesdk package. That package sastisfies the libcvsservice dependency.

Hello,

I instaled kdesdk version 3.5.6  via gslapt, started Quanta plus and it works.
I will put that this issue is solved.

best wishes,

This probably means the slack-required file in the kdewebdev package needs to be changed to include libkdesdk.  Who maintains this one?
eMachines EL-1300G desktop, 1.6GHz AMD Athlon 2650e CPU, 4GB RAM, nVidia GeForce 6150 SE video
CentOS 6.5 (will try VL64-7.1 soon)

Toshiba Satellite A135-S4727,  Intel Pentium T2080 / 1.73 GHz, 2GB RAM, Intel GMA 950

HP Mini 110 netbook, 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 2GB RAM, Intel 950 video, VL 7.1

Cait,

Guilty as charged. ;) FWIW, I have kde-3.5.7 waiting to be put into testing, and I know that the kdewebdev package in that set does properly list kdesdk as a dep.

Time for the kde-3.5.7 stuff to hit testing for the masses...

Thanks for the good catch,
John
