I installed VL using Grub as the  bootloader. After that I installed Mint on a third partition giving me a triple boot system with WinXP.  Mint  also installed Grub but points it to the menu.lst in the Mint installation. Grub was installed in the MBR in both cases. I want to remove Mint and point Grub back to menu.lst in VL. VL is on hda2   ---in Grub - (hd(0,1) and the original menu.lst is still there.

Can I do this from the boot menu by entering the CLI mode? By logging in as root in Mint or VL and using the terminal? And what is the command i need?

thanx MOE.    I also found that i could get a CLI by interrupting the boot process at the menu and use the "root" and "setup" commands.
