The Headacher has packaged the Kaffeine media player, and its in the testing repositories:

Is it compiled with DVB support? I couldn't get DVB to work with it; after I loaded the driver module (cx88_dvb for my Nova-T card) Kaffeine still didn't display the DVB sections.

Hmm...looking at the build script, DVB doesn't seem to have been explicitly enabled.

It's nice to hear it works, I have no dvb hardware to test it with. It took some tweaking but thanks to the guys in the kaffeine IRC channel I got it to compile right. Kudos to them.
