If you can't find openoffice.org 2.2 in the Vector Linux repositories, you can get it from www.linuxpackages.net
. Here's a link for openoffice.org 2.2.1: http://www.linuxpackages.net/download.php?id=9970
. You can install it the way you would any other .tgz package, i.e. open a terminal, change to the directory where you have the package saved, then su to root, then "installpkg name-of-package.tgz". If you have an earlier version of openoffice.org installed, use "upgradepkg" instead of "installpkg."
Note: If you go to linuxpackages.net to find something which VL doesn't have, the default for searching for packages is now for Slackware 12. You should change it to search for packages for Slackware 11. I wouldn't recommend installing packages built for Slackware 12.
