[SOLVED] amarok: problem with seek within track
« on: May 30, 2007, 08:38:09 am »
Hello, all.

Installed amarok from the amarokmeta package in the extra repo.
Everything seems to work fine, except for the seek bar.
Whenever I drag the seek "counter", amarok goes silent (the visualizations are still going though), and resumes playing several seconds later, at a later point in the song (though not the point where I dragged the counter to).
So, the seek function is quite unusable...

Anyone has experience the same thing?
Any known solutions?

Thanks a lot (in advance).

Ok, so I seem to have found the solution.

Apparently, all my flac files needed seekpoints added to them, which can be done with metaflac:
Code: [Select]
metaflac --add-seekpoint=2s filename.flac
For some reason, that isn't done when using k3b to create the flacs from CD's.
