Here's a good site for finding Free as in Libre fonts:
unifont font guide This is a selective guide to Unicode-based fonts and script projects that are ideal for free/libre/open source (FLOSS) operating systems like GNU/Linux and FreeBSD. As a general policy, I include here only fonts that:
* Contain Unicode CMAPs for mapping Unicode values to glyphs.
* Can be downloaded and used legally for free.
Preference is given to high-quality vector fonts that have been released under SIL International's Open Font License (OFL), the Free Software Foundation's GNU General Public License (GPL), and similarly open licenses.
There are a few non-free ones there too, so you have to check. The page covers fonts for every region of the globe, so is a good resource. Includes links and descriptions, as well as a shell script you can use to download them all.
And this site --
utf-8 sampler -- doesn't have fonts, but lets you check your browser's font support for 137 different languages.
