I made a variation for those of us who prefer the panel up top Nice remake! I guess putting the logo and caption too close to the top isn't a good idea. Here's another: A bit busy, but it was fun to make.

i'm using big_blue-vec-1 for my desktop wallpaper. The logo is placed on the lower right where it doesnt detract from desktop icons-- that's important to me. By the way, on the toolbar, what is the wireless card with 5 red dashes under it, does that mean wireless is ready but unconnected?
Also, what exactly does "Because Choice Matters" mean? I'm sure it means many things to different people, but if some random person asks, how do I explain it. Does this saying have historical basis in Vector philosophy? I can see the slogan has meaning for Linux generally, but what does it specifically say about Vector, that Vector is yet another choice? I'm not criticizing, just wondering.
Suggestion: get out a math book, and tranfer some vector mathematics graphics to the wallpaper. Like maybe a globe represented in latitude and longitude lines, with a big wide arrow following the grand arc of aircraft travel. Or some cartesian system with vectors eminating from the origin. Or a big arrow coming in from infinity.

I've been trying to do something like that for a long time, but couldn't get anything worthwhile. I thought about using one of the 3D maths functions graph tools, but didn't find an appropriate equation. The old VL4 wallpaper was cool in this respect, but there is no original file to rework it and even the author is unknown.

Just thought I would jump and and say hey to all. Installed VL SOHO (purchased Gold we all gotta contribute when we can) 2 days ago and am seriously pleased. Jumped ship from mint. Been using sundry versions of Linux since SuSe 8.1 (well if i dig through the dust in the closet I remember a run with Corel Linux any one played with that one before?) Any who all last night I whipped a quickie wallpaper for you all to play with. Here is hoping you like. http://www.digitalrock.org/wallpapers/vectorBEGININGS.pngLet me know your thoughts.

Nice one Frank! But a little help with the English spelling. It should read:
It´s a whole new dimensional experience

Frank,
On your STARGAZING2 wallpaper, the text should read "Share the knowledge Educate the world!" Watch the typo in the word "knowledge." ;-)
